What is the PetroVisor Software Architecture Deployment View?
Every PetroVisor component can be installed on a different computer in the same network separately and also in any combination (including all components on the same computer).
The following deployment scenario is recommended (each point is a separate computer in the same network):
- SQL server – use existing SQL server installation on a separate dedicated server. This allows to share SQL server with other systems and keep using existing organizational policies (backup, security, etc.)
- PetroVisor server host + web dashboards. It makes it a one central PetroVisor server which can be maintained by dedicated administrator-like user.
- PetroVisor client application should be installed on local computer of any power user which need to configure or monitor PetroVisor workflows without having access to PetroVisor server host.
- PetroVisor Data Integration Tool application should be installed on local computer of power user which need to configure data integration of external data sources without having access to PetroVisor server host. It could be combined with PetroVisor client application.
- Any usual user (with authorization) can use web dashboards through his Internet browser.
