Economics - Gross Operating Expenses

Calculates fixed and variable operating expenses for all Economics wells at the gross level.

Usage and Configuration

To perform the calculations run the workflows from this package starting with the workflow Economics - Gross Operating Expenses. The schedules may be adapted to use different contexts.

Follow the steps given in How do I configure packages pulled from Datagration's package repository to change the configuration of the package.

Use the workspace values EconomicsEffectiveDate and EconomicsAnalysisMonths to specify the start and the duration of the scope Economics. This scope will be used during the calculations.

Use the workspace value EconomicsHierarchyName to define which hierarchy to use during the calculations. Make sure this hierarchy exists and contains all wells price forecasts shall be calculated for.

Use the workspace value EconomicsParentEntityType to define the entity type of the parents used for copying the price forecasts to well level.

Preparations

  • Input all required static signals for parent entities using the data view Economics - Operating Expenses Static. This data view stores the information in the scenario Economics - Operating Expenses Base by default. These are values that will be applied for all wells of that parent in the specified hierarchy.
  • Specify the scenario used for pulling production forecasts in the scenario Economics - Operating Expenses Base.

Details

Workflow Economics - Gross Operating Expenses

The workflow consists of two steps:

DeleteReferenceTableData

This step deletes existing data in the reference table Economics - Operating Expenses. This table is used to store the calculated operating expenses for each processed entity and scenario.

Economics - Gross Operating Expenses

This P# script calculates the fixed and variable operating expenses for all processed entities at the gross level and saved the results to the reference table Economics - Operating Expenses.

Data Requirements

The following data is required on parent level:

compression hurdle
condensate variable operating expense
development well fixed monthly operating expense
evaluation well fixed monthly operating expense
gas plant variable capital recovery expense
gas plant variable operating expense
gas variable operating expense (post compression)
gas variable operating expense (pre compression)
oil variable operating expense
water variable operating expense

The following data is required on well level:

economics well type

from the forecast scenario:

produced condensate per time increment
produced gas per time increment
produced oil per time increment
produced water per time increment
