Find()

Returns the position (1-based) of the first occurrence of a specified string inside another string (case insensitive or case sensitive). Find() returns 0 if the search string is not found within the source string.

Syntax

Find(string expression [source], string expression [search])

Find(string expression [source], string expression [search], boolean isCaseSensitive)
  • string expression [source]: source string to be searched
  • string expression [search]: search string

Example

Find("Well34", "Well") returns 1

Find("Well34", "34") returns 5

Find("Well34", "1") returns 0

Find("WELL34, "LL", True) returns 3

Find("WELL34, "ll", True) returns 0
