Production Operator

The Production Operator dashboard consists of 3 pages that visualize the inputs and outputs related to production.

Navigate to Dashboard

In PetroVisor, select "Dashboard" and scroll through the list and select the "Production Operator" Dashboard.

After selecting, the dashboard will display with multiple tabs at the bottom to show additional pages.

The three (3) pages included in the production operator are:

  • Overview
  • Well Performance
  • Financial Performance

Basic Report Features

All the report pages have a refresh icon  in the upper left corner. This icon will reset all filters and hierarchy levels to the initial default state of the page. All the report pages have a well summary count that will reflect all filters in effect.

Some report pages have tables and counts, where clicking on a row will act as a filter, applying the selection to the entire page or visuals based on that choice. This could be related to well status, AL type, or produced phase. The filter remains active until another selection is made, the reset icon is clicked, or the eraser symbol in the upper right of the table is selected. To select multiple rows, hold the CTRL key down while clicking on each row.

Filters

There are a few ways that data is filtered on reports. Slicers as noted above, filters on the right-side panel (shown below) and ‘select’ filters. Slicers and side panel filters will remain in effect until removed with the reset icon or the eraser symbol even if you leave the page. ‘Select’ filters occur when you select an item within a visual to temporarily filter or highlight the other visuals on the page with related data. To remove the select filter you may re-select the same item, select on the background, or select the refresh icon. Select filters are not retained if you leave the page.

Navigation

The Time Slicer tool filters the time dependent charts across the dashboard.

Production Variance

Variance for previous day, 7 days, 14 day and 30 days back.

Well Count

Well count by AL type and by phase

Overview

Production and Variances for the last day

The table displays production data and variances, including actual allocated rates, the latest well test rate, the variance between the well test and actual allocated rates, the difference compared to the previous date, and the variance between the forecasted rate and actual production rate for oil, gas, and water. A sparkline chart is provided for a quick visual assessment of trends. This interactive sparkline chart dynamically updates based on the user's selection from the date slicer, offering real-time insights into trends for the chosen time period.

Heat Map

The heat map visualizes production variances (production Vs Target) by location. User can choose which production phase variance (oil, gas, or water) to display on the map.

Well Summary

There are visual groups that provide a comprehensive summary as of a specific date. These visuals include the well status count (active and down wells, where the active wells are the wells with production more than zero), oil, gas, ngl and water production figures, and tables displaying production variance for different timeframes: as of the last day, 7 days, 30 days, and year-to-date. There is also a chart showing the lift method well count for active wells, offering a clear breakdown of well distribution based on lift methods.

Producing Method Summary

The dashboard includes a table displaying the production method for all wells. Additionally, a horizontal stacked bar chart compares the well count by production method.

Well Performance

This tab focuses on key operational metrics through three main charts. The first chart combines production pressure and well events, providing insights into the relationship between pressure fluctuations and events at the well level. The second chart tracks WOR (Water-Oil Ratio), GLR (Gas-Liquid Ratio), and GOR (Gas-Oil Ratio) to monitor production efficiency. The third chart compares downtime versus lost production, highlighting the impact of downtime on overall production. Additionally, there are two bar charts: one detailing the LOE (Lease Operating Expenses) breakdown by amount and another categorizing downtime by hours. A navigation and summary panel, similar to the first tab, allows users to quickly access key metrics and switch between different sections of the report.

Production Pressure and Well Events chart

This chart displays the production rates for oil, gas, and water, along with well test rates, forecasted rates, and pressure data. Users can toggle between linear and logarithmic scales for more flexible analysis. The chart is fully interactive, responding to date filters as well as phase and pressure type filters for more detailed visualization. Additionally, well events are incorporated, offering a comprehensive view of both production and operational activity.

Fluid Ratio Chart

This chart presents the Gas-Oil Ratio (GOR), Gas-Liquid Ratio (GLR), and Water-Oil Ratio (WOR), offering critical insights into fluid production efficiency. It is interactive, allowing users to apply date filters and well filters. The chart provides a clear representation of how these ratios evolve over time, aiding in the assessment of well performance.

Downtime vs Lost Production

The visual compares downtime with lost production. It provides insights into how downtime events contribute to production losses, enabling better decision-making for reducing downtime and optimizing productivity.

Downtime Classification

This bar chart displays the classification of downtime by reason, showing the total hours of downtime attributed to each cause. It provides a clear overview of the key factors contributing to downtime, helping to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.

LOE Breakdown

This bar chart shows the breakdown of LOE (Lease Operating Expenses) across various categories, providing a detailed view of operational costs. The visual can be filtered by platform to analyze expenses for specific assets, aiding in the identification of cost drivers and opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Financial performance

This tab provides a comprehensive view of financial performance, with visuals detailing production, expenses, and operational costs. It includes variance analyses, cost breakdowns, and trend tracking over time. A summary panel highlights key financial metrics for quick reference and comparison across all tabs, ensuring a consistent overview of performance.

Production and Expenses Variance Table

This table shows the variance between actual and planned production and expenses, offering a clear comparison to identify discrepancies and areas for cost control.

Lifting Cost and Production vs Time Chart

This chart displays lifting costs and production over time, illustrating trends in operational efficiency and the relationship between production output and costs.

Expenses and Lifting cost chart

This chart compares total expenses with lifting costs, helping to visualize how operational expenses contribute to overall cost structure. Users can toggle between MSCFE and BOE to select their preferred unit of production.

LOE by category Bar Chart

This bar chart shows the breakdown of Lease Operating Expenses (LOE) by vendor and category, highlighting the areas with the highest operational expenditures.
